PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding resin exterior members having a homogeneously lustrous appearance. SOLUTION: A pellet 18, which is a mixture of a transparent resin material 12, metal powder 16 and clear color paint 52, is prepared by throwing a transparent resin material 12 of a high transparency, clear color paint 52 and metal powder 16 made of an aluminium foil into an input port 14a of a pelleting machine 14, and the pellet 18 is thrown into a hopper 26 of an injection molding machine 24 and the molten resin is injected into an inner space 34 of a mold 32 for molding. A molded product thus produced has a parallel light transmittance set to 0.8%-1.4% and a plurality of metal powders 16, which is mixed in the transparent resin material 12 and distributed not only on the surface but also in the thickness direction of the molded product, reflect light and hence the whole surface of a product of even a complicated shape shows homogeneous luster.
