PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and lighten calipers of a brake device for a motorcycle, and enhance the productivity by using the same calipers at front and rear wheels in common. SOLUTION: A pair of front wheel calipers 11A, 11B are disposed on both sides of the front wheel, and a rear wheel caliper 12 is disposed on one side of the rear wheel. When a front wheel brake operating member 15 is operated, a hydraulic circuits 16, 19 for operating the calipers 11A, 11B, 12 press two pairs of pads P of one of the front wheel calipers 11A and a pairs of pads P of the other front wheel caliper 11 B against brake discs 4A, 4B, and press a pair of pads P of the rear wheel caliper 12 against a brake disc 9. When a rear wheel brake operating member 18 is operated, the hydraulic circuits 16, 19 press the other pair of pads P of the rear wheel caliper 12 against the brake disc 9, and press the other pair of pads P of the other front wheel caliper 11B against the brake disc 4B. With this configuration, the desired interlocking brake device is achieved with a 2-piston system, hence, miniaturizing and lightening the calipers as compared with that with a 3-piston system.
