<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can smoothly perform printing on both sides of paper by preventing a paper jam to be occurred in the image forming apparatus when an operator performs incorrect input of thickness information on paper to be accommodated, in the image forming apparatus which can perform printing on both sides of the paper. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is characterised by being provided with an operating means for manually inputting data about thickness of the paper, a thickness detecting means which is arranged in the transportation path and detects thickness of the paper, a comparing means for making comparison between thickness of the paper inputted by the operating means and thickness of the paper detected by the thickness detecting means to judge whether they accord or not and a judging means for judging whether conveyed paper has thickness capable of passing through a curl straightening device or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
