PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic sheet recovery device and a metallic material recovery method for easily separating and recovering a belt-like metallic sheet remaining in a coil from the coil. SOLUTION: This metallic sheet recovery device recovers a belt-like metallic sheet remaining in a core of the coil after being installed in a coil delivery machine and delivering the belt-like metallic sheet. The metallic sheet recovery device has a metallic sheet receiving means for gripping and tearing off a delivery side end part of the belt-like metallic sheet remaining in the core installed in the coil delivery machine. This metallic sheet recovery method grips and tears off the delivery side end part of the belt-like metallic sheet remaining in the core of the coil after being installed in the coil delivery machine and delivering the belt-like metallic sheet.
