PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access control system suitable for lowering increase of communication traffic and preventing application of an excessive processing load to a specific terminal or a specific device.

SOLUTION: A printer management server 100 notifies timing information indicating access timing corresponding to a server printer 200 by referring to a timing information registration table 410. The network printer 200 receives the timing information when itself serves as a server printer 200, and on the basis of the received timing information, transmits status information of a status information registration table for collection to the printer management server 100.
