PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device high in recording precision over a plurality of recording speeds, and to provide an optical disk device high in recording precision by introducing more desirable recording waveform parameters from the recording waveform parameters that are recorded on the optical disk. SOLUTION: Conditions at a high speed and optimum recording waveform conditions at a low speed are obtained from a trial writing or the like and the conditions for an intermediate speed are obtained from the recommended value written on the disk. Especially, the waveform parameters of the multipulse portions having multi-pulse recording waveforms are waveform converted under the conditions where energy becomes constant and the waveform parameters are determined in a highly precise manner.
