PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier which can quickly discharge air in a filter medium bed to the outside by a simple structure without using an extra member even when a filter medium having a large filtration resistance is used. SOLUTION: This water purifier has an external container (5) having a purified water storage part (11), an internal container (6) having a raw water storage part (10), and a cylindrical water purifying cartridge (4). The water purifying cartridge (4) has a granular filter medium (22) and a hollow fiber membrane (23) therein, and has a cylindrical part (21) at one end. The cylindrical part (21) has an air discharge hole (30) at the top. The hole diameter (d) of the air discharge hole (30) on the outer surface side of the water purifying cartridge (4) is≥0.6 mm.
