<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting polarizing plate application accuracy capable of preventing generation of a defective product by inspecting automatically the polarizing plate application accuracy to a liquid crystal panel without applying processing to the liquid crystal panel, corresponding easily to the change of a panel size, and also improving inspection efficiency and heightening efficiency of a production process of the liquid crystal panel by inspecting simultaneously the application state of two polarizing plates on both faces of the liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: In this polarizing plate application accuracy inspection method of the liquid crystal panel performed after applying the polarizing plate 3 onto the liquid crystal panel 1, some of four corners of the liquid crystal panel 1 or the periphery of a plurality of edge parts is photographed by CCD cameras 28, 29 from the direction orthogonal to the liquid crystal panel 1 side face, and the distance from the liquid crystal panel 1 end to the polarizing plate 3 end in the photographed image is measured by image processing, and if the distance is in a specified range, the panel is determined to be a nondefective product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
