CORRECTED GRADATION CURVE CREATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrected gradation curve creating apparatus in which image data can be obtained to form a fine and smooth recorded image even when a discontinuous part is locally formed or a maximal point or a minimal point is locally formed in a corrected gradation curve. SOLUTION: When applying gradation conversion processing to image data of an original read by a scanner of a copy machine for matching with a density gradation of the recorded image in aγconversion circuit of an image processing apparatus, one of a plurality of one-dimensional digital filters with different sizes and strengths is selected (S2) to apply smoothing processing using the digital filter (S3) to converted data of the corrected gradation curve wherein a reference gradation curve is corrected so as to obtain the desired density gradation of the recorded image (S1).
