PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful and practical file transfer system that reduces an operational burden on a user. SOLUTION: The file transfer system comprises, at least, a portable terminal device and an information processing device capable of communicating with the portable terminal device via a network, and transfers a data file stored in the information processing device to an external device by a remote operation from the portable terminal device. The information processing device refers to file specification information and address information specifying a file destination both set by the operation from the portable terminal device, to automatically generate transfer information having the address information as the destination and including a file specified by the file specification information.
