<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustion control when resuming a fuel injection after the fuel injection is suspended temporarily in a device of controlling combustion of a direct-injection type spark ignition device where pressure within a pressure storage chamber is kept constant at a non-injection time of fuel. <P>SOLUTION: This device includes target fuel pressure obtaining means for obtaining target fuel pressure (5 Mpa) based on the number of revolutions N2 and load T2, an actual fuel pressure detecting means for detecting actual fuel pressure (7 Mpa), a timing obtaining means for calculating a fuel injection timing and an ignition timing (50, 35 Deg.BTDC) based on the number of revolutions N2 and the load T2, and a first timing controlling means for controlling the fuel injection timing and the ignition timing in accordance with the fuel pressure (7 Mpa).
