The invention concerns a method for self-configuration of a border router (BR1), initiated by a nomad client (4). It comprises attachment of at least one network context to the nomad equipment (4), a data exchange between the nomad (4) and at least one border router, via the Hot Spot network (2), dynamic configuration of the border router (BR1) based on the contexts transmitted by the nomad (4) and adjustment of the configuration of the nomad (4) based on data transmitted over the Hot Spot network (2) by the border router (BR1), following the reception by said router of said network contexts.
