PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine for inducing differentiation of glioma cells, and to provide a method for preventing progress of glioma and treating glioma without lowering brain functions.

SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for glioma and the glioma cell differentiation inducer or the proliferation inhibitor comprise lectin having differentiation induction action on glioma cells as an active ingredient.
