摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of displacement in a superposition step in an assembling process of a liquid crystal cell. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device includes a first step to prepare a first substrate 14 with a first alignment mark 16 to be a basis of superposition formed thereon, a second step to prepare a second substrate 15, as is the case with the first substrate 14, with a second alignment mark 17 to be a basis of superposition formed thereon, a third step to superpose both substrates face to face with each other via a sealant 19 applied to at least one substrate surface out of the surfaces of the first and second substrates and to pressurize them and a fourth step to form a cell for the liquid crystal display device by hardening the sealant 19. In the third step, the alignment marks 16, 17 of the respective substrates are detected with an image recognition processing part 21 and tentatively positioned with specified accuracy. Subsequently, in pressurizing them so as to obtain a necessitated cell gap 20, the displacement due to the pressurizing is measured in advance, and the foregoing tentative positioning is corrected corresponding to the result of the measurement.
