PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book whose power consumption can be suppressed low without making a user aware of page turning-over operation. SOLUTION: The electronic book which has a plurality of sheets of electronic paper has an indication device with which a user indicates that information displayed on electronic paper is not necessary. A control part 31 when receiving the indication showing that the display information is not necessary accesses a data storage part 34 or an external data storage part 36 through an external communication part 35 and obtains contents data to be displayed next and stores the contents into a page information storage part 32 in order to switch the display of the 1st electronic paper 11, and also performs control for displaying the next new information on the 1st electronic paper 11.
