摘要 The invented process for producing a cured non-woven mineral fiber web comprises several production steps. A first non-woven mineral fiber web (30) contains mineral fibers predominantly arranged in a first longitudinal direction and segments (38, 40) of the first mineral fiber web are arranged in a partly mutually overlapping relationship for producing a second non-woven mineral fiber web (50), which contains mineral fibers generally transversely relative to one another. The second mineral fiber web (50)is folded transversely for producing a third non-woven mineral fiber web (60, 70). The third non-woven mineral fiber web (60, 70) is cured for producing a cured non-woven mineral fiber web from which a mineral fiberboard (146, 284), or alternatively, a tubular insulating element (434, 436, 438)is cut. Apparatus for producing the above-described cured non-woven mineral fiber web comprises first and second means for producing and moving a first non-woven mineral fiber web (30) in a first longitudinal direction, third means for arranging segments (38, 40) of said first mineral fiber web, fourth means for moving a second mineral fiber web (50) in second longitudinal direction, fifth means for folding said second mineral fiber web transversely relative to said second longitudinal direction and parallel with said second transversal direction, sixth means for moving a third non-woven mineral fiber web (60, 70) in the second longitudinal direction, and seventh means for curing a first curable bonding agent.
