Internal combustion engine and method for its mixture preparation

The internal combustion motor has at each cylinder an injection valve (4) between two inlet valves (1) and the adjacent section of the cylinder wall to the inlet valves. The piston (5) has two combustion zone troughs (6,6'), each at a different gap from the injection valve. The two inlet valves have a maximum gap to each other and, in the closed setting, have a minimum gap to the crankshaft. The injection valve (4) is aligned at an angle of 30-70 degrees to the cylinder axis.
