PURPOSE: A motor is provided to reduce the size and axial length of the motor, while obtaining a high output of the motor. CONSTITUTION: A motor comprises a magnet(6) having a cylindrical shape, and which is N-divided in a circumferential direction such that poles are alternately magnetized; a rotor shaft(7) made of a soft magnetic material and fixed at the inner surface of the magnet; a first coil(2) arranged in the vicinity of the magnet in the axial direction of the rotor shaft; a first outer magnetic pole portion(1a) excited by the first coil, and inserted into the inner surface of the first coil, wherein the first outer magnetic pole portion is opposed to the outer surface of the magnet by a predetermined gap formed between the first outer magnetic pole portion and the outer surface of the magnet; a second coil(4) disposed on the plane almost same as the first coil such that the second coil is adjacent to the magnet in the axial direction of the rotor shaft; and a second outer magnetic pole portion(1b) excited by the second coil, and inserted into the inner surface of the second coil, wherein the second outer magnetic pole portion is opposed to the outer surface of the magnet by a predetermined gap formed between the second outer magnetic pole portion and the outer surface of the magnet at the state where a phase shifts to (180/N) degree with respect to a magnetization portion of the magnet from the first outer magnetic pole portion.
