PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the level of an input signal and a method for controlling the same are provided to secure the stability of the signal outputted from the device capable of maintaining the input signal with a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling the level of an input signal includes the steps of: (a) increasing(S420) one of the change counter value as the number of the input signals having a level different from each other by comparing the control target input signal level with the previous input signal level or the no change counter value as the number of the input signals having the same level by comparing the control target input signal level with the previous input signal level based on the status whether the control target input signal level and the control target input signal as a previous input signal level are equal or not; (b) determining(S440,S450) the level of the control target input signal based on the change counter value, the no change counter value, the maximum change value which is the tolerance of the level change for the device and the maximum change value which is the tolerance of the level no change for the device; and (c) storing(S470,S480) a predetermined level of the control target input signal level based on the determined control target input signal level.
