PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side car body structure for a vehicle capable of enhancing ingress/egress of an occupant by providing a small cross section part having a smaller size of closed cross section of a side sill at a position corresponding to ingress/egress port of the side sill as compared with any other position. SOLUTION: In the side car body structure of a vehicle, the ingress/egress port 4 closably covered with a door is provided at a side part of the car body and the side sill 7 having the closed cross section shape is provided along both left and right sides of a floor panel of the car body. The small cross section part having a smaller size of the closed cross section of the side sill at the position corresponding to the ingress/egress 4 of the side sill 7 as compared with another position 7A.
