PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable users to easily obtain accurate road information about a desired road in the form of characters or figures at any time. SOLUTION: The order of road map data 10 is changed in the case of routes without branches and divisions, so that each of the routes becomes continuous from its start point. If the routes have branches, one of the routes is regarded as the main route while the other is regarded as a subsidiary route, and the routes are switched around so that the main route and the subsidiary route are continuous from their respective start points.
