PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency apparatus that is equipped with a metallic case for facilitating mounting and positioning of a front plate, and further to provide the same that is equipped with a light metallic case and is excellent in shield property and is reduced in weight. SOLUTION: The high frequency apparatus is internally equipped with a metallic case 10 whose one side is opened in order to house a high frequency circuit, a separate metallic front plate 20 mounted on the open portion 16, and a connector 21 fixed to the front plate 20. Further, a short side of the front plate 20 is bent to form a shape with a nearly L-shaped cross-section surface. In an upper end surface of an apical end at the open side 16 in both side plates 11, 11 of the metallic case 10, a step 18 is formed which has a slightly smaller dimension (T2) than the plate thickness (T1) of the folded portion 20d of the front plate 20. An inside surface of the folded portion 20d of the front plate 20 and the step portion 18 are fitted together and thereby the front plate 20 and the metallic plate 10 are fixed together.
