PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for mounting decorative overlay on an automobile wheel by pouring foaming adhesive into a cavity formed between the wheel and the overlay through an opening of the wheel. SOLUTION: A first nest 96 is engaged with an outer side face of wheel/overlay assembly body to close an inner side peripheral fringe part of the overlay, a valve stem opening of the overlay, a rug bolt receive hole of the wheel, a pilot hole of the wheel and/or a valve stem opening of the wheel tightly. A second nest 97 is engaged with an inner side face of the wheel/overlay assembly body to close a wheel hole and a plurality of turbine openings of the overlay tightly. A nozzle arranged in the second nest pours foaming adhesive 60 into the cavity through a cavity between a peripheral fringe part of the wheel hole and a peripheral fringe part of the turbine opening of the overlay corresponding to it, a vertical hole in a spoke or a hole with an angle or a channel in the spoke.
