PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for judging acceptance and rejection of a seam weld by measuring the seam temperature after seam welding by a thermometer provided on a pedestal supported by an electrode wheel, after pinching a plurality of metal plates with a pair of electrode wheels, and performing seam welding while moving. SOLUTION: The seam temperatures measured by the thermometer are compensated in accordance with an outside diameter variation accompanying wear-out of the electrode wheel and based on the seam temperature measurement compensated, acceptance and rejection of the seam weld are judged.
