PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a processing for writing a duplicate of data also to a second logical volume in a storage device control part including a file access processing part, a channel control part and a disk control part. SOLUTION: This storage device controller comprises a plurality of channel control parts having a circuit board on which the file access processing part for receiving a data input/output request of file unit from an information processor and an I/O processor for outputting an I/O request corresponding to the data input/output request to a storage device are formed; and the disk control part for executing the data input/output to the storage device according to the I/O request transmitted from the I/O processor. The disk control part executes a duplicate management processing for writing, when data are written in a first logical volume, the data also to the second logical volume in order to store the duplicate of the data also in the second logical volume.
