PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discharging continuous casting slag to a dry pit capable of suppressing the lump of base metal from getting large even when the continuous casting slag is discharged to the dry pit. SOLUTION: When discharging the continuous casting slag remaining in a molten steel pot to the dry pit after finishing pouring of molten steel held in the molten steel pot, the dry pit is divided into a plurality of areas having an area responding to a continuous casting slag amount, and continuous casting slag of a next charge is discharged into either one of the areas so that the continuous casting slag discharged into each area solidifies by forming multiple layers per charge in the dry pit.
