PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transparent laminated polyester film excellent in transparency and scratch resistance. SOLUTION: The transparent laminated polyester film is obtained by providing a coating layer on at least one side of a substrate layer comprising a polyester. The substrate layer contains no particles substantially and the coating layer contains inert particles with a mean particle size of 10-150 nm. The substrate layer contains a cyclic trimer in an amount of 0.8 wt.% or below and the concentration of the terminal carboxyl group of a polymer is set to 30 equivalent/10<SP>6</SP>g or below.
