The parquet flooring panel (1) has a decor layer (2) provided by a number of adjacent hardwood strips (3), a central layer with softwood blocks (5) transverse to the hardwood strips and a softwood backing. The central layer is provided on 2 intersecting panel sides (7,8) with reception grooves (9) and on the remaining 2 intersecting sides (10) with corresponding clip tongues (12). The end sides of the panel parallel to the softwood blocks are fitted with softwood inserts (13,14) positioned adjacent one another in pairs, respectively provided with a reception groove and a clip tongue, their wood grains aligned in opposite directions.
