PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chamfering tool and chamfering method for a magnetic head for efficiently and stably performing chamfering for a robber. SOLUTION: This tool is provided with a conductive resin machining head 12 for positioning, sucking and holding a plurality of robbers 11 in exposed states of only the machined end edge parts 11a, a base block 13 for holding the machining head 12 to rotate at a necessary time, and a pivot 17 for inclining the machining head 12 to a polishing sheet 16 installed on a base 15 via a rubber sheet 23 at a prescribed angle.
