摘要 The invention relates to abrasive particles from the group of conventional abrasive particles, in particular, fused or sintered corundums, zirconium corundums, silicon carbides, and boron carbides for application in resin-bonded abrasives, characterised in having a surface coated with coating comprising 0.05 to 20 wt. %, based on the weight of the untreated abrasive particles, of an aqueous binding agent made from silicate and 0.05 to 5.0 wt. %, based on the weight of the untreated abrasive particles, of a complex, fine-particulate oxide compound of general formula AxByOz, whereby A and B are each a group of elements and O is oxygen in a stoichiometric ratio to A and B and the numbers x, y and z characterise the composition of the complex oxide, which are not restricted to whole numbers and z corresponds to the sum of (x+y) and a factor of 1.5 to 2.5. The group of elements A corresponds to groups of metals in the periodic system of the elements, whilst the group of elements B corresponds to groups of amphoteric elements. The complex fine-particulate compounds AxByOz each contain at least one element from the group of metals and one element from the group of amphoteric elements. The aqueous binder made from silicate is preferably colloidal silicic acid. The invention further relates to a method for coating abrasive particles, whereby the coated abrasive particles are subjected to a heat treatment between 100 and 900 DEG C.
