<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the temperature ripples against a target temperature, and to suppress the malfunction of a protection function against an abnormal temperature rise in a fixing part. <P>SOLUTION: A time Lb required to attain a temperature rise ▵Tb(°C) when a halogen heater 77 free from an error in terms of heat generation is continuously energized under an environment at a prescribed temperature is stored as reference data on heat generation into an ROM. A time L1 required to reach ▵Tb(°C) when a voltage is adjusted to a rated input power supply voltage in an apparatus assembly process, and also when the heater is continuously energized under an environment at a prescribed temperature is measured, and the measured time is stored as the heat generation data into a non-volatile RAM.
