PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller type applicator capable of facilitating a uniform coating working by a simple constitution, by impregnating a coating solution uniformly into a coating part. SOLUTION: In the roller type applicator 10 composed of a coating roller 11, a handle part 12 supporting a coating roller rotatably, and a liquid tank 14 supplying a coating solution into an axial core pipe 13 of the coating roller 11, the coating solution supplied from the solution tank 14 flows via flowing apertures 15 formed on the axial core pipe 13 and is impregnated into the coating part 16 of the coating roller 11, and the coating on a surface to be coated 40 is applied. By rotating relatively the solution tank 14 in a peripheral direction for the axial core pipe 13, a holding means of rotation 17 for holding above the axial core pipe 13 the solution tank 14 corresponding to the coating direction against the surface to be coated 40 is further provided.
