PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head with high performance, which forms a high-quality print by stabilizing a locational relationship between a head substrate and a radiator plate, and to provide a thermal printer. SOLUTION: The thermal head is formed by arranging a plurality of heating resistors 4 along an edge of an upper surface of the head substrate 1, mounting the head substrate 1 on the radiator plate 6 via an adhesive member 7, inclining a lower surface of the head substrate 1 with respect to an upper surface of the radiator plate 6, and abutting an end portion of the lower surface of the head substrate 1 on the upper surface of the radiator plate 6.
