PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car body weight conversion method for allowing a driver to recognize a dead weight for enhancing interest in the dead weight, a communication method in vehicle, a car body weight conversion system, a communication system in vehicle, and a communication connection device. SOLUTION: A low-speed network L1 has a body ECU (electronic control unit) 34 for transmitting a car body weight according to a request from a gateway 10. A high-speed network L2 has an HM (human machine interface) unit 30 for outputting information. The gateway 10 for connecting the low-speed network L1 and the high-speed network L2 is provided with a low-speed communication section 16 for requesting the car body weight to the body ECU34 for acquisition; a control section 12 for determining a conversion value according to the acquired car body weight; and a high-speed communication section 18 for transmitting a determined conversion value to the HM unit 30.
