PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin handling device that a user can use without confusion even when new coins are issued or when coins having been rejected are to be accepted. SOLUTION: The coin handling device comprises a first coin handling unit 2 for identifying input coins to store them by types, and a second coin handling unit 3 connected to the first coin handling unit 2 to receive and identify coins unidentifiable in the first coin handling unit 2 and store them by types. Even when new coins are issued or when coins having been rejected are to be accepted, an input of coins into the first coin handling unit 2 allows the coins to be stored by types in the first coin handling unit 2 and the second coin handling unit 3, so that the user can input coins without confusion.
