PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict vibration at a ball receiver, and stabilize relief pressure in a relief valve. SOLUTION: This relief valve 20 is provided with a valve housing 21 in which a valve hole 21a is bored along an axial center, a valve seat member 22, engaged and fixed to an opening end of the valve hole 21a, in which hydraulic oil delivered from a hydraulic pump is introduced to one end part of a communication hole 22b formed through the axial center, and in which a valve seat 22c is formed at the other end, a ball 23 applied to the valve seat 22c to close the communication hole 22b, the ball receiver 24 supported to be slidable along an inner surface of the valve hole 21a for holding the ball 23, and a relief spring 25 to energize the ball receiver 24 in such a direction that the ball 23 is applied to the valve seat 22c. A relief hole 21b for relief of the hydraulic oil at the time of relief of hydraulic pressure is opened in a radial direction of the valve hole 21a.
