PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation method with which Prunus tomentosa as a safe food is obtained without an agrochemical. SOLUTION: The method for cultivating Prunus tomentosa comprises retaining tree bodies of Prunus tomentosa and harvesting fruits having a high commercial value by applying an agrochemical to the tree bodies of Prunus tomentosa at proper periods throughout the year. The trees of Prunus tomentosa are covered by a greenhouse by measuring the accumulated time of dormancy so that Prunus tomentosa flowers and bears fruits at a period when the natural environment of each production district of Prunus tomentosa has a low temperature and insect pests wintering at an open field. Before and/or after covering a greenhouse, a source of disease and insect pest such as molds, insect pests during wintering in fallen leaves, withered branches, old bark, weeds, etc., in the green house is disposed of out of the greenhouse. After the greenhouse is covered, the leaf-free tress of Prunus tomentosa before sprout are sprayed with an agrochemical to exterminate insect pests. Prunus tomentosa is harvested without applying an agrochemical to fruits and trees of Prunus tomentosa once from the the sprout to the completion of the harvesting of Prunus tomentosa to harvest Prunus tomentosa having no residual agrochemical at all.
