<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a conventional information terminal device wherein the type of a combined external device (functional extension part) can not be determined, and a splash of liquid or the like having an electrolytic characteristic on continuously powered external terminals of the terminal device develops a redox reaction to corrode the terminals. <P>SOLUTION: When a functional extension part is combined with an information terminal device, the information terminal device, through a plurality of detection parts, detects the combination to start voltage application to voltage supplying external terminals of the terminal device, and determines the type of the combined functional extension part to connect it to a corresponding controller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
