<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-chamber type air-conditioner capable of reliably collecting refrigerant without impairing air-conditioning property of other indoor units not in refrigerant collection mode. <P>SOLUTION: A timer (a) to count the operation time of an outdoor unit 1 of an outdoor control unit 16 of an outdoor unit 1 and a timer b to count the time for refrigerant collection of any indoor unit and the delay time to delay the transmission to the indoor unit to perform refrigerant collection are provided. When the counted time of the timer (a) reaches a predetermined value a1, instruction for operation start and operation stop of the refrigerant collection is transmitted in order to indoor units 2a-2c. A delay time is specified after the refrigerant collection of the indoor unit to perform refrigerant collection previously, and instruction is given to the next indoor unit to perform refrigerant collection. The refrigerant stored in a high-pressure gas pipe 4 and a low-pressure gas pipe 5 can be collected without impairing any pressure balance between the unit pipes 3, and the refrigerant can be reliably collected without impairing the air-conditioning property. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
