PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing modification of a permanent object in a multi-user environment. SOLUTION: The method starts by relating each thread to an event cue. Next, an event is added to a first event cue related to each thread. The event is related to a permanent object. Then, writing access to the permanent object from threads other than that is disabled. Next, an event in the first event cue related to the permanent object is executed.
