PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic fiber optic cable which is formed of a plastic fiber optic cable, colored to improve discrimination from other electric cables and designing property and having superior heat resistance, and has a small increase in transmission loss even when used in an environment wherein the fiber optic cable is exposed to high temperatures. SOLUTION: This plastic fiber optic cable has at least one coating resin layer at the outer peripheral part of a plastic optical fiber, and at least one layer among coating resin layers is formed of a colored coating resin layer containing chromatic inorganic pigment.
