<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent display device capable of preventing color purity degradation of respective RGB colors by restraining white light loss and color mixture due to light wraparound as far as possible. <P>SOLUTION: Organic EL element-driving TFTs 101 are formed on an insulating substrate 100. A first flattened insulation film 102 is so formed as to cover the TFTs 101. A color filter layer 103 is embedded in the insulation film 102. An anode layer 104 is connected to the TFTs 101, and extended on the insulation film 102. A second flattening insulation film 105 is so formed as to cover the ends of the anode layer 104. In this case, an overlapping distance A between the filter layer 103 and the insulation film 105 is set larger than the sum B of the thickness of the anode layer 104 and the thickness of the insulation film 102. Thereby, the large portion of light emitted from the organic EL layer 106 is allowed to pass the inside of the filter layer 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
