PENTACENEQUINONE DERIVATIVE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic intermediate of a pentacenequinone derivative usable as a material for an organic electronic device such as a light emission element, a photoelectric transfer element and a semiconductor, and to provide a method for producing the intermediate. SOLUTION: The pentacenequinone derivative is represented by formula (I) (wherein R1to R4are each hydrogen, alkyl or the like; A1to A4are each hydrogen or an electron-withdrawing group such as alkoxycarbonyl; with the proviso that at least one of A1to A4is the electron-withdrawing group). The method for producing the derivative is also provided. A pentacene derivative can be obtained by reacting the pentacenequinone derivative with a Grignard reagent or an organolithium reagent.
