PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic titanium catalyst solution which excels in metering properties, handling properties, and safety and can be used in the PTT (polytrimethylene terephthalate) polymerization on an industrial scale, and a process for producing a PTT polymer of excellent quality with the use of the solution. SOLUTION: The polymerization catalyst solution comprises 90-99.8 wt.% trimethylene glycol, 0.1-9.9 wt.% water, and 0.1-9.9 wt.% at least one organic titanium compound selected from the group consisting of a titanium alkoxide, a titanium acylate and a titanium xylate.
