<p>Sepn. head, for different fractions during alcohol rectification, comprises a cup, threaded on the outlet from the still. It has a gutter which can be tilted around an axis from one outlet to another according to the density of the raw alcohol, indicated by an alcoholometer which dips into the latter. When good quality alcohol is running through the still outlet, a hook holds the end of the gutter in position. When the density increases the alcoholometer rises; the articulated lever also rises so that a rocker becomes unbalanced and the attached cam hits the hook and liberates the gutter. Due to the balance wt., the gutter tilts and diverts the alcohol tailings into a compartment and the second outlet.</p> |
