PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically convert descriptive contents in software language without any constraint into descriptive contents in hardware design language as they are. SOLUTION: A series of processing numbers are assigned to the respective processing steps of descriptive contents in software language according to the performance order (S11), and periods when storage areas are used by respective variables included in the descriptive contents in software language are extracted corresponding to the processing numbers (S12), and the plurality of variables whose use periods are not overlapped are assigned to the same storage area based on the extraction results (S13), and the respective storage areas are made to correspond to registers based on the assignment results, and descriptive contents in hardware design language where one register is shared by the plurality of variables are generated (S14). When the data sizes of those variables are different, it is desired that the division and/or connection of the variables is performed so that the data sizes of the respective variables can be made uniform according to the data sizes of the storage areas.
