Procedure and device for reducing the vibrations of a rotor

The method involves detecting rotor data for use in a mathematical model of the rotor (1). Values resulting from the equations of motion of the model are related to corresponding values (x) resulting from measurements of rotor deflections. The rotor anisotropy is determined using the least sum of error squares technique. Processing data for the rotor are determined from the determined anisotropy, to reduce the anisotropy. The processing data may be derived from mechanical parameters or from generalised stiffness values.
