<p>A circuit board assembly, such as a CompactPCI board, comprises a printed circuit board (PCB) 210 and a solder cover 220 having at least one sliding flange 225. The solder cover is secured to the PCB using the sliding flange and a retainer 230. The retainer comprises a mounting flange 235 which is attached to the PCB and a retaining flange 240 which is parallel to the PCB but not co-planar. The gap between the retaining flange and the PCB accommodates the sliding flange. The circuit board assembly may further comprise at least one fastener flange (325, Fig 3B) coupled to the solder cover. Each fastener flange has a hole (390, Fig 3B), through which a rivet passes. Also claimed is a method of assembling a circuit board assembly and the retainer and solder cover per se.</p> |
