This invention provides a clear paint composition for motorcars which contains 10-80% by weight of polyester resin containing units derived from alicyclic polybasic acid and/or alicyclic polyhydric alcohol, 5-50% by weight of polyisocyanate compound and 0-50% by weight of acrylic resin; and which forms coating having Universal Hardness (HU) of not more than 500 N/mm<2>.
