PURPOSE: An adulteration treatment method and a device of a detention basin are provided to prevent floating adulterations from flowing into a dust remover of a pumping station and to remove the adulterations at a branch stream of the detention basin easily and continuously. CONSTITUTION: An adulteration treatment method of a detention basin(2) comprises steps of installing an adulteration treatment device(1) to a branch stream(3) of the detention basin to prevent floating adulterations flowing into the detention basin from flowing into a dust remover(7) of a pumping station(4); filtering the floating adulterations flowing into the detention basin along the branch stream with a screen(10) of the adulteration treatment device; transferring the filtered adulterations to a side along the front of the screen and continuously removing the adulterations; and receiving the transferred and filtered adulterations to the side of the branch stream and treating the received adulterations with a jib crane(6).
